Study Plan Exam Prep Part 107
If your test date is close, you need structure more than volume.
Day 1: Regulations + Airspace Basics
- Read the FAA Remote Pilot rules summary.
- Build a one-page cheat sheet for altitude, visibility, and operational limits.
- Run 25 mixed questions to establish your baseline.
Day 2: Airspace Charts and LAANC
- Practice reading sectional chart symbols.
- Focus on controlled vs uncontrolled airspace scenarios.
- Run 30 chart-heavy questions.
Day 3: Weather and Performance
- Review METAR/TAF basics and cloud clearance requirements.
- Drill weather decision-making with scenario questions.
Day 4: Operations and Crew Resource Management
- Cover emergency procedures, crew roles, and risk management.
- Practice “best next action” style prompts.
Day 5: Repeat Weak Domains
- Re-test your two lowest scoring categories.
- Add short notes for each recurring mistake pattern.
Day 6: Full Timed Simulation
- Run a timed mock exam.
- Review every missed question and write a one-line correction.
Day 7: Light Review + Confidence Pass
- Revisit your cheat sheet.
- Do one short mixed drill.
- Stop heavy study early and rest.
Consistency wins. Small daily loops are more effective than one long cram session.
